Bridges has established a large database of health and safety documentation. This includes company policies, CDM, instructions and procedures and COSHH.
Accident Reporting and Trend Analysis
Bridges has implimented an electronic accident report database. This enables the company to keep a safe history of all accidents no matter how minor. All accidents are collected and used for the analysis below.
Running along side the accident database is a trend analysis program which allows the company to determine trends amongst accidents. This includes age, location, location of injury etc. This analysis equips the company for better prevention of future accidents. It also allows the company to be compared to national averages for particular accidents.
Near Miss Reporting and Trend Analysis
The near miss reporting is a system developed to help highlight possible areas of concern. A near miss is an incident which has occurred where no injury or damage has existed but the potential exists.
Similarly to the Accident Trend Analysis, the near miss reporting also analyses the near miss database and groups content together. The results from this analysis enables Bridges to determine key areas for improvements in preventing accidents.
