Award-winning construction with exceptionally high standards…
Somerset Business Awards winner for Technology & Innovation 2017; Bridges leads the industry by innovating to ensure continual ongoing improvement of each control panel delivered.
In-house Intelligent Design
We have chosen the electrical drawing package Bentley promis.e, to produce clear accurate schematic diagrams for construction and maintenance. The powerful drawing functions such as symbol libraries, standard macros, parts databases, automatic wire numbering, cross-referencing and exported bill of materials allow us to produce consistent, easily understood drawings and documents.
We are experts in modern control networks. Our designers hold formal Profibus qualifications and have the capability to develop and test large complex Profibus layouts.
Control Panel Design and Manufacture
Specialising in panel design and manufacture, a wide range of customers are now using Bridges MCC’s and Control Panels.
We design and build systems to the requirements of BSEN60439-1 and since November 2014, all MCC’s comply fully with BSEN61439-1.
Although we have manufactured Form 4 MCCs longer than 20mtrs and rated at 3200A withstanding 80kA for 1sec; we also have the capability to build small efficient Form 2 starters.
Our range includes large variable speed drives, PLC systems and control networks, and our panel technicians are qualified and experienced installers of control networks and large variable speed drives.
The use of intelligent panels has now become commonplace across the industry and Bridges has designed and supplied intelligent MCC’s using Siemens, Schneider, Rockwell and Mitsubishi components.
Stainless Steel Solutions
For harsh environments we provide high quality, 314 or 316 grade bespoke stainless steel panels and MCC’s rated up to IP66, such as the stainless steel control desk pictured right provided by Bridges for the passenger ferry berth at the Port of Dover.
We design these control panels to resist corrosion and the ingress of dust and liquids making them fit for coastal environments and outdoor use.
