Bridges Electrical Engineers Ltd, is a trusted high performance and multi-disciplined MEICA engineering technology company with an established and long-term client base within the water, aggregates, nuclear and waste industries. Bridges recognises that there are many ways in which individuals seek to enter our industry, whether it is their first employment or re-training; and whilst the Company is fully supportive of Apprenticeships as one route into the industry we are aware that this is not always a suitable pathway for everyone. Therefore, we have developed a program to provide an alternative way into our industry.

Bridges Training School will provide an opportunity for individuals of all ages, to take their first steps in a career in the electrical or mechanical engineering industry. We welcome applications from individuals from any career background and therefore there are no pre-requisites in order to apply – simply an interest in the industry and a desire to join it!

The scheme will provide one week of unpaid work experience where individuals will have a chance to gain knowledge and experience in practical electrical and mechanical skills, as well as an understanding of important H&S issues. Individuals will also be provided with CV and interview skills training, as well as a letter of recommendation to use when apply for roles in the future. Bridges will also keep all CVs on file for any suitable vacancies that arise following the training.

The Training School will take place the week commencing 17th July and the deadline for applications is 19th June.
